Conference Registration
PURPOSE: This conference will provide knowledge and ideas for collaborative practice and intervention that will increase the cultural competency of healthcare providers, administrators, researchers, and the public regarding traditional American Indian medicine.
OBJECTIVES:
The goals of this workshop are to:
Identify some of the healing traditions of American Indian medicine men and women.
Explore the honoring of tribal traditions as a foundation for healthcare transformation in Oklahoma, the nation, and the world.
Recognize how integrated care and intercultural collaboration promote culturally competent care across diverse Indian populations.
LOCATION: The OCCE Forum Building on the University of Oklahoma campus, Norman, OK.
DATE & TIME: Tuesday, March 28, 2006; 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
