PLEASE NOTE - VIDEO REMOVED FROM YOU TUBE! A VICTORY THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS RACIST AND HATEFUL VIDEO. January 28, 2007

It is good news to report that letters of complaint sent to You Tube regarding the content of this video was successful in having it removed. However, it is the opinion of My Two Beads Worth that it is a good idea to keep this video here to remind people of the raw hatred and racism that continues to impact on American Indians, First Nations and Indigenous people every single day. A huge thank you to all the people who took the time to write a letter of complaint to You Tube!

Do you think it's a good idea to keep this video available as an example of the racism faced by native people? Give your opinion, using the form listed at the end of this report.

Racism is alive and well in Canada

His name is Pete Holmes or that is how he identifies himself on You Tube, a website where people can post their videos on a wide-range of subjects, issues and many other things - some good, some bad.

Pete Holmes

This is the face of a racist. He calls himself in this video Chief Two Dogs Fuxxxxx and his entire intent is to stir up hatred against First Nations People who have taken a stand in Caledonia, Canada to prevent developers from stealing their land. The Mohawk Clan Mothers are the protectors of Mohawk lands and the stand-off began when these Elders joined together in solidarity and in a peaceful movement to stop the continuation of any development of their lands by non-natives.

It's obvious by this disgusting example, that hatred and racism is alive and well and very, very ugly.

I warn you that this video is not only racist, but Beaver Bob - another name Pete Holmes uses, mostly speaks in four-letter words repeatedly, so if you find this offensive, I urge you not to view the video.

I debated whether or not to put this video on My Two Beads Worth because of its content. However, I believe it is vitally important that America and Canada view first-hand the ugliness of racism and hatred directed toward native people and in this case, the First Nations People.

There is no question in my mind, that had this video been about any other race, it would have been removed by now and there would be a huge outcry by people of its racist hate content. So how much longer will it be before mainstream (?) America recognizes the racist attitudes of the government and of many non-native people toward the native people of North America?

So, be warned before you view this - it is explicit as far as language and racism and some readers may find it offensive. However, as offensive as it is, it is truth and reality of what we face every single day in the United States, Canada and Mexico, as indigenous people. It is the same truth of all indigenous people around the globe. It's time we stop supporting such hatred and racism as humor or freedom of speech. I believe in freedom of speech, I will fight for it, and die for it, if necessary - but there must be a limit to any website or other forum that would support and permit such a viewing and it's time Americans and Canadians and all non-native people stop turning their backs on this sad and ugly reality.

Warning: Contains graphic language and racist content.

This is what you can do to put an end to this and get it taken off the You Tube:

Flag the video as hate speech. It is necessary to register to do this, but it's an easy process.

Write to You Tube Directly:

Contact You Tube and request that this blatant racist video be removed.

Jodie Nisbeth who suggested we write to You Tube directly, also suggests that we write to Paula Zhan at CNN who did a recent report on racism. However, Zhan she did not cover the racism directed toward native people. Perhaps if she views this, she may realize that her report did not cover racism directed toward all the people in the US and especially racism directed toward American Indians. You can reach her at :
