SIX NATIONS ON "RED ALERT"! WILL CANADA BE STUPID AND ATTACK? CONTACT ANYONE INVOLVED. STOP CANADIAN INSTITUTIONS FROM HELPING AMERICAN CORPORATIONS TO TAKE OVER 6 NATIONS LAND. BACK UP INDIGENOUS PEOPLE. IMPLORE CANADA "DON'T USE GUNS TO NEGOTIATE"

Report received April 19, 2006

You never know what they're going to do. Canadian Commandos, JTF2, and the RCMP are on record for having supported disinformation and smear campaigns in the past. Putting in and detonating land miles at Gustafsen Lake, and firing 77,000 rounds of ammunition at a religious family gathering of 26 Indigenous people, of which most were women and children. It is an old colonial tactic to shoot a gun, or blow up something and pretend it was0 "Injuns what done it!" This is to create to move in with state sanctioned violence. So far Indians have never fired the first shot. Don't forget the big picture. Who is on whose land? Who is the host and who are the guests? Here's a letter from Hazel on the front line:

"Hi Kahentinetha:

It's about 1:30 am [Wednesday, April 19th]. Dick and I came home for a bit so he could rest and I could get online checking messages etc.

My phone died right after I called you this afternoon. Sorry if I was unable to respond. of all days!. I had left the phone in the truck overnight and didn't have it charged when I went to site. Got that problem fixed. Borrowed a charge from one of the girls on site. Works fine.

Well, let's see. It has been an interesting day. The [traditional Confederacy] chiefs issued their press release which Jacquie read to you. We have been on "red alert". Earlier this evening, Dick sent out one of his friends to check Unity School [nearby which the Ontario Provincial Police are using as their `Command Center']. There were over 50 cars there at that time. He then headed toward Hamilton. There was a whole line of them [police cruisers] coming in toward Caledonia.

The theme was set earlier in the morning when the town of Caledonia's emergency "fog horn" went off, and helicopters were flying overhead. Later on Janie [one of the women at the site] and I delivered Notices to "cease and desist" to Haldimand Township, Ontario Hydro, band council etc. (copy will be forwarded via fax). We've yet to serve Henco [Industries]. We also register mailed it to the Queen and Governor General of Canada. We also served the band council with a "Notice of Violation of Law" that had gone out earlier.

Mike and I spoke to band council. I told them I was not there to `acede' jurisdiction to their council. I was delegated by the Onkwehonweh Kahnesteserah (clanmothers) to deliver the order to Cease and Desist. We had fun with them. Mike is a good speaker. He did us all proud. So good that [band council] "chief" [Dave] General says he is coming to the site in the morning at breakfast to talk to the People. Boy, the people are ready.

Janie and I were pulled over by cops dressed as Mounties [RCMP] under the pretense of [not wearing our] seatbelts (which we talked our way out of). It was definitely the feeling that they had a different job, probably warning Caledonia residents of impending danger. He was putting his hand up long before he seen we weren't wearing seatbelts. Just our feeling!

Then this evening those helicopters were overhead again. Their tactics of mental warfare are getting more suggestive. But you know what was good? The people continued to laugh and play. I cooked supper. We gathered and had a good day. I keep telling everybody, "It's all good!

Our final words to the band council was, "It's our land". Mike had already told them we weren't there "protesting anything". "Get it right! We are repossessing our land". He reminded them, when they told us of the great job they were doing in land claims, that, "We ain't claiming nothing! It already belongs to us. The government is only trying to "swap" land that already belongs to us". I can't remember all of it, but I'm sure one of the local papers in attendance was recording and [hope] will print it.

Lisa VanEvery was at the meeting, trying desperately to give us the "evil eye". We just gave her the biggest grin we could. Her dad was there, just like his sister did at the feds [federal government] meeting. She implored the band council to get us out of there `cause "as long as there's people like that ------ fellow there, there is going to be blood spilt".

We have the alarm set for 3:00 am. I'm gonna go and rest for a bit. As you very well know, there is not much sleep being had. My brain will not stop thinking. It is not a bad thing. There are so many ideas going on in there. I have to try and find quiet time to sort them out.

Even Alan MacNaughton [a Confederacy chief] called me just before Mike and I headed to the band council meeting. I told him what I was going to do. He said, "Good, it's about time". He called to let the people know exactly why they [Confederacy chiefs] issued the press release. Basically it is as we already knew. The feds [Canadian government] will not recognize nor deal with anyone except their own puppet government. Actually, it has made my heart rest a bit easier. It leaves the power with the people where it belongs. Sometimes when those chiefs get to a table to talk, they forget the message their suppose to deliver, don't you think?

Thanks again for all the support, forwarding mails etc. The men are in their [red] "alert" mode as are the women. We are doing what we need to do to prepare. My thoughts are, "I don't think Canada would be that stupid to act, knowing full well the wide range of support that exists for us". I was told a group of `non-natives' who stopped by the site earlier that they had pulled up some train tracks in support of our cause. They said they oppose their government's unwillingness to settle this though the political means as opposed to at the point of a gun barrel. Quite interesting, don't you think? There are those out there who understand even better than our own where this is headed. Have a good nite.
Hazel".

Think about it, Canada? The media "blackout" is to cover the embarrassment that Canada would feel if the public knew what their tax dollars were being spent on - guns, police terror and to support the exploitation of Indigenous resources and Canadian people by American big business.

OPP INVADES SIX NATIONS - AIDED BY INDIAN TRAITORS - GO AND WITNESS

Information received 4/20/06:

At 5:55 am this morning, Thursday, April 20th, over 150 heavily armed Ontario Provincial Police with Native mercenaries as body shields, invaded Six Nations land. Some carrying M-16's, in riot gear. 6th line is still open. The Rotinoshon'no are not fighting. Tear gas has been thrown at them. Some were pepper sprayed. The traitors are the same kind of people who stabbed Crazy Horse, Geronimo, and those who fought for our sovereignty and our lives.

One bridge to the property has been closed.

Witnesses required. This will not be on the national news. Go there and see what is going on. This is a scary precedent. Take pictures. Make reports. Let the world know. report. REPORT. REPORT. Help the people so no one gets hurt. we never wanted violence. Canada has opened to the door to covert state violence on a scale that is unprecedent in Canada. This is the end of any pretense of negotiation with Indigenous people. Canada came in with armaments, guns, paddy wagons (we dont know what's in there).

Don't let Canada become another Chile. Tell the world. The Rotino'shon:we were on our own land.

Letter of Support

April 20, 2006 - Report received

We are deeply moved by the passion in your letter to the Canadian Government. We continue to restrain ourselves although there is constant provocation to make us take the first salvo. But we shall not. We want a peaceful and lawful settlement. We want Canada to live up to its promises to us. And we do not want threats and guns pointed at us constantly as part of their "negotiations". We do not want violence. You have put our stance beautifully. We stand on the law for all our brothers, sisters, friends and allies everywhere.

Open Letter to the Gov of Canada, regarding Six Nations Territory Dispute

In light of how Canada seems to be intent on allowing/inciting a violent confrontation with the Six Nations, to address this Federal- Jurisdiction matter in Caledonia, I thought I might share some thoughts which I hope will be considered and used towards Canada's acceptance of their role in the Nation-to-Nation relationship with the Haudenosaunee, rather than see violence occur by Canada criminally ignoring their responsibilites, and acting as a group of boneless thugs that believes itself superior to it's own people, the Original People's of this land, the Law of the land, and its very own Canadian Law.)

To proceed with violence, aside from the tragedy of such an act, will permanantely shed the image that this country is peaceful, a Nation capable of taking a leading role in the world by first taking care of it's own affairs, in an honourable manner.

I say that because the Original Peoples of this land are actively maintaining Peaceful relations with the Government of Canada, as per our original agreements - which also required we mutually benefit one another, never initiate violent altercations between our Nations, never interfere with what's not our business.

We are upholding our end, and all that is being asked here is for Canada to do the same, which will result in Justice for the Hauenosaunee and clarification for all of us that Canada is indeed a model, peaceful Nation. To use violence to 'resolve' this - well, you will be acting against legally-binding International agreements, and the integrity of Canada itself.

Secondly, I must point out that, contrary to statements made in the media: this is about Law, Jurisdiction, People, and Our Responsibilities.

As pointed out in the "OBJECTION TO INVASION OF KAIANEREH'KO:WA TERRITORY BY THE FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS OF CANADA AND ONTARIO, THEIR CORPORATE ENTITIES TO ARREST ROTINOSHON'NON:WE FOR DEFENDING THE LAND KNOWN AS THE "HALDIMAND TRACT" the relationship and role of Canada to the Indigenous People of this Land is irrefutuable. All situations between Canada and the Original peoples of this Land is solely and exclusively a Federal Matter.

The role of Provinces, is to assist and serve the Original Peoples of this Land on behalf of the Federal Government. Furthermore, as all corporations in Canada are subject to the Law of Canada, no corporation can directly effect the lives (or the land) of the Original Peoples on this Land without Canada getting Our approval.

The Original Peoples of this land have never forfeited their title, Sovereignty, or role as a Nation of Nations on this Land. To ignore this criminally negligent.

Third, in relation to the current Ipperwash inquiry (and related historical international altercations betwen Canada and the Original Peoples) -- Canada is in fact validating what will become the eventual conclusion in the Ipperwash Inquiry, which will, in time, lead to a number of standards and practices contrary to current and historical Canadian Governmental policies towards Indigenous People. Most certainly this will benefit all of us, and these changes will happen regardless of what happens in Caledonia, but it will go a long way for Canada to accept their role and obligations here. Especially considering, in reference to the article written in the Hamilton Spectator called "Nobody wants another Ipperwash," the fact is, Ipperwash is not what will reoccur here. OKA's what will be repeated.

I'm certain all Canadians in Caledonia and surrounding areas would hate to see OKA happen near their homes - to see Elderly Women, Pregnant Women, Children, and Great Grandfathers being stoned while the Police stand by because it's "too risky" --- to see a Woman who's about to give birth be terrorized and violated by Men wanting to look between her legs to make sure she's not hiding anything...

The People of Caledonia, and indeed all Canadians would rather see their government act with integrity, honour, and to resolve this peacefully. I know for certain the Rotinshon'non:we (Women Title Holders) want to resolve this Peacefully. So do all the protesters supporting them, the United Nations, and everyone around the world watching and waiting to see if Canada has learned anything from history, and if Steven Harper has what it takes to be a Prime Minister, or if he's just going to mimic the unremarkable and hypocritical legacies of Paul Martin, Jean Chretien, and Brian Mulroney.

Respectfully,
John Schertow

DIDN'T HE GET SENT INTO SETTLE ALL THAT BUSINESS AT KANEHSATAKE WHICH IS STILL A BIG MESS. Send him in again!

9:45 UPDATE - ALERT! ALERT! OPP INVADES SIX NATIONS – CHASED OUT GO AND WITNESS – Thursday, April 20th 2006.

WATCH FOR FURTHER UPDATES

9:45 AM

OPP saying that it is over [FOR THEM]. Go home then! Simple as that. Hundreds are there. More and more are coming. We moved police out of here. We have blocked off highways.

Police are supposed to be moving in. 1000 cops and the army. Transport truck is blocking off road. They are going to try to come in again. Negligent media no coverage. There had been an actual meeting in Cornwall not to give coverage. Alternative media is there. Local only. One woman was roughed up.

Very tense difficult situation. We need all kinds of people here as witnesses with cameras and eyes and memories. It is about violation of our law, Canadian law and international law.

They have no right to be here. Their guns are fully loaded. We are unarmed. Our spirits are high. We are asking people to make calls, emails, think about us. We are carrying out our responsibilities. We need international support. There were children on the site when the OPP came. We are standing strong, adhering to the law and we have no intention of leaving.

The constitutional jurisdiction is that of the Indians. Ontario and Canada are invading our jurisdiction. This is an international assault on another nation. The people are standing on the law. Canada is standing on "might makes right".

9:15 Tires burning at underpass. At the church near Douglas Estates near Tim Horton's the people have blocked off the highway.

4:20 am the OPP attacked to arrest them. Hauled first 9 off. Some protesters took the Caledonia bridge. Reserve people arrived and repelled the cops. At least 150 heavily armed cops. Vans, trucks, paddy wagons, ambulances (for the cops). They repelled them. The cops came back. They were repelled again. Now at 9:00 am the people have taken the land in question back. How to get there: From Niagara Falls and Toronto, take Highway 6 straight south from Hamilton to Caledonia. From Buffalo take Highway 3 west to Higway 6 and north on Highway 6 to Caledonia. From Windsor take Higway 3 East to Higway 6 and go north. These are backways and cops are not likely to be looking at it too much.

8:30 OPP DISRUPTS PEACE IN QUIET CALEDONIA

The OPP has created an ongoing battle. They sit in their cars, give out false news reports, and wait for reinforcements to come in to squash the Six Nations people but they can't. Everyone is reporting to everyone.

All police have been chased off the perimeter of Douglas Estates for now. Cop were sneaking behind the unfinished houses. One woman went over. A women cop told her she was under arrest. "What do you mean I'm under arrest. You're violating the laws, both ours and international law". Other cops came out and wrestled her down on the ground. She fought all of them. They kneed her to handcuff her. She started booting the cops. Then other Indians arrived on the scene and chased the cops off. As they were leaving they shot her son in back with tasers. The big woman cop was carrying a big gun, something like an Ouzi. "It was a big one". Those cops were fully packed, she said.

They failed to arrest her because she resisted. There are 9 arrested. They're supposed to only keep them for 2 hours. `We haven't seen them back yet". The People are shutting Caledonia down. "We are not armed. We got our land back. Were in! We're at the fire!"

At the 6th Line where the Douglas Estates comes out on the road at the entrance, out to Highway 6 that goes onto the rez. The bypass that goes around Caledonia. At the 6th line overpass, the people there had been blocking that road, they were attacked by the cops, paddy wagons were there. They fought back. It was a brawl. People started coming from the rez and supported them. Immediately there were hydro poles around which they threw on the road and set on fire. They are cutting off Highway 6 the main supply line that goes goes to Nanticoke Hydro Electric plant down on Lake Erie. It is the main transport truck road to Hamilton. This is being blocked.

Some protesters are still holding Caledonia Bridge, the main artery of the city. It's total confusion.

If you have satellite TV, look for Hamilton CH which has a live feed. They have helicopters filming everything.

8:00 AM

It is an ongoing situation. 9 people arrested.

There is fighting going on at the No. 6 Line Bridge. It is blocked off. The traditional Longhouse people put a fire there and the OPP pepper sprayed them. But the people started fighting back. The people have moved onto the main bridge in Caledonia. The people moved the police off the land and are going back to the main door and are still there holding on. The cops are still on the road shutting down the bypass. The OPP were chased off by the people and told to get out. OPP got off the land and are in their cars watching and waiting for "orders".

Get the news on the radio stations, newspapers, television.

7:05 am. Two snipers were chased off by the people. They have 50 cops trapped in, who can't get out. A media black out could work against them. More cops are going to come in. Indians don't have weapons but they do have tons of cameras.

In Ipperwash there was a media blackout. The only way the information got out was because some of the people told what they saw. That's why we need people in there. The police showed in that public inquiry there was a deliberate attempt to stop the press from finding out. There were attacks upon people with cameras, those who tried to get the story out. What the police learned is how to do this the right way next time. This is it. They learned all the weaknesses. We learned the invaders are psychologically twisted people who pretend to be supporting the law. These are megalomaniacs who think they can say what the law is because they have access to guns. This time they will do it "right". The CTV have made two major movies showing what happens when these twisted personalities are allowed free reign on Indians. We get killed.

There are back room deals in police headquarters to hide the information and protect the police officers that give orders. In the case of Ipperwash, three OPP police officers died suddenly just before they were going to give evidence at the enquiry. What a strange coincidence. It is unfortunate that the poor jerks that are just "following orders" do not realize that they are putting their lives on the line. They are not at risk from Indians, so why all these coincidences?

The Six Nations people have been burning tobacco during this entire occupation for their protection. This is the only weapon that we have. We know the truth is on our side. We are calling upon the natural forces to give us wisdom and guidance through this whole siege. There are repercussions to those involved when you go against people who are innocent and justified in what they are doing. The megalomaniacs who do these kinds of things are only looking out for themselves. They are a danger to all of society.

We Indigenous people are within our rights. We want Canada to obey their own laws, and to respect international norms. We want an open and fair hearing. If the colonizers think they own our land, they need to prove it. With this attack they have trashed any pretension to right and decency, democracy and the rule of law. Canada is beginning to slide quickly down the slippery slope of despotism.

How can Canada decolonize. The test lies in how they feel toward people who challenge their assumptions. Are they going to use batons, guns and pepper spray? Or are they going to get out their documents and take a serious look at the evidence.

The answer is obvious. Just look at what is happening today. This is a colonial government's hard core. Canada does not believe in reasoned researched and documented solutions. We are seeing how colonial government is going to deal with any kind of questioning of their "might makes right" authority. These are the signs of how a tyrannical government is going to suppress the people from expressing legitimate dissent against a takeover by the powerful elitist interests that are involved. It appears that individual rights are being eliminated systematically all over Turtle Island.

This destruction of dissent at Six Nations is done under the cover of media darkness. This is the way it will be done in the future against all people across Turtle Island. This is an experiment in police state tactics against unarmed people who are exercising our rights.

These are the lessons they learned at Gustafsen Lake in 1995 where 77,000 rounds of ammunition were shot at the Indians. In Saskatoon, where Six Indian boys were found frozen to death outside the city put there by police officers. In Winnipeg where J.J. Harper was murdered by the Winnipeg police. At Ipperwash where Dudley George was murdered in cold blood by the OPP. There are over 500 Indigenous women who have "disappeared" and the police have done nothing about it. In the 1960's there was a complaint made in British Columbia because men were looking for Indian children to have sex with them in the streets. The police did nothing about it. Child prostitution is an on-going problem in Vancouver. We don't want the blood lust of Canada's police force to be whetted by spilling the blood of Indians. This vampire regime is moving in on Indians like sharks who smell blood in the water.
