INDIENS is three artists Arohed, Jerm, and Kayo who are both Native
American and Haitian-"Lakota Haitian". Dropping this particular style of
hip hop created by Natives-"Native Hop" to represent who we are-"Indiens" and where we're from(Denver/Pine Ridge/Haiti).
Indiens is three artists- Jerm, Arohed, and Kayo. Arohed is a rapper/producer and Kayo is a singer/rapper. We have performed all over Denver as well as in Rapid City, SD. In Denver at: Auraria Campus,Aurora Black Arts Fest(2006 and 2007), The White House, Herman's Hideaway,
Bruno's Saloon, Wyatts Torch, Cervantes, The Roxy, Bushwackers Saloon and in Rapid City at the 2006 Black Hills Pow Wow.
We are set to release two CD's right now: "TRIBAL" a solo album from Jerm is set for release 01/30/08 and the sophomore release from Indiens is currently in the works and set for release by March 2008.
Listening to their beat, song and music, you can't resist moving your body in beat with the music; nodding your head in agreement of the feeling of the words and beat and what Indiens expresses so clearly in every tune they play.
Jerm, Arohed and Kayo are very talented musicians and singer/rappers. I may be old to someone of their age ("grins") but I can still feel that beat, move my feet and know when I am listening to something that is GOOOOD!!!!
