Neil Lash, a teacher at the school is organizing this pow wow and his students and supporters are sponsoring this pow wow in the spirit of the L.D. 291 Act - which requires teaching in Maine Schools Maine Native American History and Culture.
The Pow Wow is a significant tie to the past to help maintain and appreciate Native American Traditions. All are encouraged to invite family and friends to the Midcoast Maine Education Pow Wow.
