Greetings from Publisher/Editor Jeanne Svhiyeyi Aga Chadwick

A belated Happy New Year to all our friends, our loyal subscribers and to all of you who share information that allows My Two Beads Worth to share information throughout Indian Country.
For the first time in 8 years, I wasn't able to do reports for January 2008 - and I felt badly about missing the month. But I'm back and I hope that you will enjoy this edition for 2008 of My Two Beads Worth.
Phew! It's hard to believe that I've been doing 2 beads for 8 years now. I started it on a free webhost back in 2000 and later acquired a private webhost to serve you all better with news reports, stories and much more. I like to think of 2 beads as the online ezine for the "little" guy and gal - the home town folks, who may miss some of the major reports in well-established native newspapers and mailing lists. I've always tried to bring you a variety of reports - from news in the media to stories like the two wonderful writings you will find in the February edition.
It's been a challenging year for so many of us, and while I continue to have challenges of health, I hope, God willing, that I will be able to continue to bring you My Two Beads Worth until Creator decides or you decide my time to retire has come. However, I am not ready to retire! No way! This keeps me sane - even though it's a little after 4 am as I write this, and while any sane person would be in bed at this hour, I'm up and writing to say hello to all my loyal subscribers and supporters, who I consider family and friends. Thank you!
There's a few people I'd like to thank - Teresa Anahuy, who has helped me out more than she might realize and even more importantly, she is a dear friend, one who has become a sister to me since we first became acquainted. Nancy Blue, as I call her and she refers to herself - who is always working hard to get information out to people, to the talented writers, elder John Night Eagle Curtis, Shyhawk, and in this issue, I am honored to present the writing of Martin Carriere, of the Metis Nation, a new friend and one I hope to have for many years to come.
One of the best things about doing 2 beads, is all the wonderful, caring people I have come to know. You have enriched my life and taught me things I would have never known otherwise - you've cheered me on, when I've needed it and regardless of what others may think, you have accepted me into your life as a friend, and sister.
I want you all to know you are in my heart and prayers and I wish all of you a better new year, an improvement in the lives of all native people and honor to all of you who fight the good fight every single day for the generations to come.
Thank you for your support and most of all, your friendship - one of the best things about the internet is how it opens doors to all of us - to reach out to men and women - new friends all over the world. God bless you all - and thank you for allowing me into your lives.
Many blessings to all,
Jeanne Svhiyeyi Aga Chadwick
