Bonnie Whitesinger in Coma
Blessings All
Thu, 08 Dec 2005
I received an early morning call today from Bob Chaat,
Bonnie Whitesinger's husband. He told me that Bonnie
had a heart attack while on dialysis yesterday and tho
doctors revived her heart, she remains in a coma. She
was flown to the hosptial in San Juan, New Mexico.
I ask any so moved to pray for her and her family.
Their lives have been filled with one tragedy after
another directly related to the pressures of
relocation, loss of land, dignity and a beautiful way
of life. This is the case for many families impacted
by the genocidal policies of the US government and
it's corporate backers.
Bonnie, Bob and the kids moved to Tuba City a few
months ago. One day she called and i also talked to
Bob, who told me that 3 people had been stabbed to
death within a few blocks of where they moved to.
Today he told me the place is filled with misery.
Many Native Americans from that region have died in
Iraq. Tuba is plagued with crystal meth, alcohol and
violence. The gencide lives on.....
My heart deeply aches right now in these very bleak
and horrid times. What will become of the children?
What have we done? What does the future hold? The
Elders have been silenced and the killing continues
everywhere. A Dineh homeless woman was murdered in
Seattle and then set on fire to hide the evidence. I
wonder what her story was.... .Seattle Women In Black
will be vigiling for her and i hope to join them. I
just do not know what to do anymore.
In peaceful struggle, swaneagle
