Bear Butte How You Can Help
Help is needed to gather support from bikers, veterans, indigenous people and allies to stop the desecration of Bear Butte, the sacred mountain to over 30 indian nations.
If willing to help by gathering signatures on petitions, writing to biker magazines, or to support or attend the planned gathering at Bear Butte, please consider helping in any way you can and let us know by joining Defend Bear Butte - Yahoo Group, a group set up to discuss and coordinate efforts and support.
A petition for bikers might include the call to bikers located at Petition with a signature page to include names and addresses; letters to biker magazines, flyers at biker bars, and having flyers made up to hand out at pow-wows or other events are just a few ways that you can help. Signed petitions then can be mailed to Carter Camp at P.O. Box 201, Manderson, SD 57756.
The hearing for a liquor license for this disrespectful and violating venue will be held on April 4th by the Meade County Commission. Please see Intertribal Coalition to Defend Bear Butte, plus other reports you can find in the March and April reports, as well as visiting Defend Bear Butte can give additional details on this issue.
If you can help gather support from bikers, please contact Sky Davis by email at Sky Davis or by calling her at 413-529-9423. If there are other ways you are willing to assist in this effort, please contact Carter Camp by email at Carter Camp or by joining the yahoo group at Yahoo Group
