Protecting the Sanctity of Bear Butte SACRED LAND
SACRED PRISTINE BEAR BUTTE UNDER ATTACK! Imagine a Bar where the bulldozers are....
Hello Friends, Relatives and Human Beings,
We are making headway on the petition to stop the Biker Bar from encroaching onto sacred lands at the foot of BEAR BUTTE. It is a proposed 600 acre Biker Bar [pictured above] that states it is "far away from a policed environment" it doesn't take much to equate what a policed free environment invites as far as bikers go. But this is not the point, the point is this is SACRED LAND!
American Indians have prayed and cried for a vision on MATO PAHA / Bear Butte for intergenerations dating back before the arrival of the colonizers...! Now our sacred site is under attack of colonization once again! They have begun sc-raping the earth and they do not not have their liquor license yet! Please stand with us and if you have not already signed the petition to stop the issuance of a liquor license to JAY ALLEN of the Broken Spoke Saloon who is from AZ and does not view MATO PAHA as sacred grounds, [Jay Allen actually wanted to name this biker bonanza SACRED GROUNDS how perverse is that!] PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION NOW AND WRITE THE MEADE CO COMMISSIONERS [can be found at the bottom of the petition].
I am up in arms about this, because I have been to Strugis when the rally is in full swing and that behavior has no business being near MATO PAHA while people are praying for future generations and the current state of crisis the Earth and her children find themselves in. It disgusts me to think about a saloon in the picture above! Think about it and please JOIN US AND SUPPORT THE HEALTHY FUTURE OF GENERATIONS YET TO COME. PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL YOUR LISTS OF HUMAN BEINGS! Creator Bless all of you with a heart for this struggle, and please pray for this blasphemy to halt.....! WHO WILL STAND FOR THE EARTH AND CHILDREN? This biker-bar-campground, that Allen originally wanted to name "Sacred Grounds," (now changed to Sturgis County Line) will have long-range implications affecting many generations to come.
Bear Butte and the surrounding area is indeed sacred ground and this encroachment of sacred land must be stopped. South Dakota state lawmakers recommend a four mile buffer zone to begin at the State Park boundary to maintain the sanctity of Bear Butte. People throughout the world who are aware of this new development idea are appalled at such a venture. Let us show the world that we are sensitive to civil and human rights all year long.
Let us stand together for the protection of this sacred site, as we are all responsible for our future generations. Meade Commissioners set beer license approval hearing date for Jay Allen's Sturgis County Line for Tuesday, April 4th, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Meade County Court House, 1425 W. Sherman St., Sturgis, SD. Approval of alcohol permitting in Meade County is contingent on two criteria, bar location and the character of the applicant. Meade County Commissioners must deny approval of Sturgis County Line's 2006 beer license.
Please sign the petition and also contact your local, tribal, state and federal legislators to express your concern regarding the growth and expansion of ambitious urban developments that endanger our protected sacred lands. Stand up and speak out for the protection of Bear Butte.
