Dr. Al Carroll Tours Europe

Please repost as widely as possible.

In much of Europe they know very little about Natives, Native cultures, and especially Native spiritual beliefs. This makes them easy prey for Nuage exploiters. The money Nuage frauds make in Europe in turn strengthens their position back in the US, drowning out Native voices, making it harder for Native needs to be listened to, and often disrupting Native communities by flooding them with Nuage followers.

Activists in Europe who want to work with Native causes want Europeans to hear GENUINE Natives, Native activists working on Native issues, Native dancers and musicians showcasing their talents. I'm over here now on a speaking tour of Europe, giving 21 lectures in 5 countries over 7 weeks. I was asked to come here by the World in Our Hands foundation, a Swedish charity that helps support the Albuquerque Indian Center and their powwow academy and anti-gang and anti-drug message for Native youth.

The response has been overwhelming, loads of Europeans at every lecture saying they were glad to "finally hear the truth". Many suspected that Nuage exploitation was wrong, but just didn't know enough about Native cultures to be able to say. Most pledged to never support Nuage exploiters again, to cease paying to pray or attend Nuage workshops or seminars. Some have joined activist groups working to support Big Mountain, Leonard Peltier and other Native prisoners, and environmental causes.

We need other Native speakers, dancers, and musicians to come over to Europe with the same kinds of message, to be an alternative to the Rainbow Eagles and Mary Thunders and other charlatans. If you have a cause, if you can speak well, dance well, or play music well, the World in Our Hands Foundation would like to bring you over to Europe.
