Good day to all: It is with great pleasure and humility that I announce the commencement of the foundation for the Aboriginal Veterans Monument here in Ottawa at Confederation Park.

I was talking to the contractors yesterday to confirm what was happening and it is true; the digging is for the Monument's foundation. I am sure all of you have been waiting, as I have, for this day to come. This positive action affirms the reality of the project and gives hope to its completion for the June 21st dedication ceremonies.

I will keep you all updated on the progress of the construction as it goes through all of its phases.
