IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE SURVIVORS OF THE 1680 SUCCESSFUL NEW MEXICO INDIAN PUEBLO REVOLTS

2005 PUEBLO PEOPLES MILLENIUM MANIFESTO

WHEREAS, three hundred twenty five (325) spring equinoxes have passed since Pueblo peoples led by our TEWA hero, Pope, empowered themselves to END their enslavement from the cruel and conquering Spaniards.

WHEREAS, as a people of Memory, we are fully aware that a people of Memory shall not perish from the Land.

WHEREAS, WE, the living descendants of the TEWA,TOWA, TIWA, TANO and other freedom loving peoples of Turtle Island, do hereby declare our steadfast GRATITUDE and SOLIDARITY with our ancestors, as we are most painfully aware of the supreme sacrifice of blood and Life that our ancestors paid to regain OUR freedom.

THEREFORE: this 9th day of April, 2005, we the living descendants of the 1680 Pueblo Peoples rebellion do hereby CALL for the cooperation of all freedom loving global peoples to support our PUEBLO Tricentennial Truth and Reconciliation Alliance.
